• I was walking down through the technology district today. That was pretty freaking cool. All the major technology players (Sharp, Sony, HP, Canon, Acer, etc.) have their own little shop set up, while Lenovo has like 1,000 shops.
  • While walking down the technology district, I walked through the black market area. I walked past stands of counterfeit DVDs / Blu-Ray discs, and software. Also, I walked past a stand with someone selling MP3 / MP4 / MP6 players. MP6? Huh? After doing some research, MP6 apparently means it’s an MP4 player plus a built-in camera. Right…
  • I swear I did not plan this, but I just happened to wear my “I Void Warranties” t-shirt today around the technology district.
  • Parts of the city smell _really_ bad, while others are just fine.
  • I was under the impression that streaming 93X only worked from within the US because of licensing issues, but maybe I was wrong.
  • I saw some kid wearing a Minnesota Timberwolves shirt today. I totally had a weird feeling run through my spine. That was the last thing I was expecting to see over here.
  • You can really tell the wealthy people from the non-so-wealthy people. In the states, we have the homeless people, who are far better off than some of the people you see here.
  • Oddly enough, I think Wuhan is a pretty cool place. I just would not want to live here. If you understand the language, or if you are with someone who can, there seems to be a lot of things someone can do here.
  • Complimentary breakfast was _epic_! Amazing++. It’s more French style food and not so much Chinese.
  • I’ll admit, it’s kind of fun being the only American in sight. Some of the people I’ve walked by have made me laugh.
  • I found a video game store that sells mod chips. Awesome!
  • Kevin, I hate you. (See here: http://electronaddiction.com/wp/?p=26)
  • Umm… Why is http://www.webshots.com/ blocked in China?
  • I’m not very good at this taking pictures thing. I’m too taken by my surroundings to even think of it.
